Cranes have been known to have contributed one or many songs to the following film sountracks:

2001
Adoration, In The Night, and Underwater were featured in the film Wicked, starring Julia Stiles, also in Ten Things I Hate About You. The film is produced by Automatic Pictures who also produced There's Something about Mary. The film is described as a 'darkly comic suburban thriller' and is to be on general release in cinemas in 2001.

1998
Shining Road was placed in the film Claudine's Return released in America late in the year. Christina Applegate played Claudine, a confused rich kid who flees her wealthy and parents to try to find herself (consider the lyrics to Shining Road). It was filmed entirely in the summer of 1997 in the Tybee Island section of Savannah, GA.

1997
Love God, directed by Frank Grow featured Lilies and Paris and Rome.

1996
Clips of the Shining Road video were visible on a T.V. set during a scene in the film An Eye For An Eye based on the novel by Erika Holzer. Keifer Sutherland plays Robert Doob and is tapping drum sticks against his legs, to the beat of the song.

1995
Cranes created the Scarborough Ahoy! soundtrack, which has never been commercially released. The film was influenced by a Tennesse Williams short story. Starring actress Frances Barber, Scarborough Ahoy! won director Tania Diez of the National Film School an Oscar for Best Student Film.

1993
Watersong was featured in a 30 second TV and Film advertisement for a line of cosmetics called Odelys by Guerlain.
